Remember
Tonight is the day,
Lord, show us the way.
Will we live or die?
For there are no goodbyes.
Whatever happens we remember,
That our lives are cherished and never forgotten.
As we prepare to fight, we remember the faces of our chidren,
the smell of home,
and memories of loved ones.
It is said that before you die,
Your life flashes right before your eyes.
A life can come and go,
And my name you may never know.
But my friend I tell you this,
My faith is what keeps me alive,
And my love will never die.
Looking to my left, and then to my right.
I feel as though my time is now,
I am ready for bombardment.
Quickly, I run as fast as I can.
I am now drowning in nothing but the color red.
As my body lays helpless next to 8,990,000 others,
Do not feel pity nor sorrow.
For I am proud to fight for my country.
